Ok, that was awful. Practically the whole Goddesses Arc relies heavily on just one scene. The build up who is a goddess and who is not. Everything after it. Doubtless, this was the key scene of everything.

Yet, what? In the anime, it's done badly, with some normal music, skimmed over, with barely any feeling in Katsuragi, and, what's worse, it's slammed in the middle of the episode!

SKIP THAT FUCKING KANON ENDING NOBODY CARES ABOUT KANON YOU BASTARDS, AND GIVE US A GOOD END-OF-THE-EPISODE KEIMA REJECTING CHIHIRO!

Shit. Really, what the fuck was the big idea? That way the focus on this scene is completely lost! Leave the audience to writhe for a week, thinking over this, and greet us next week with the difficulty of Ayumi's reconquest. That's how it should be done. It's obvious that's the way it should happen. What level of executive meddling happened here to botch this in such a spectacular way? What the fuck is going on? Next skip Chihiro grabbing the spare pick, goddammit!

edit: oh, and the torpedo. All in all, a stacked episode, full of important moments, many of which were of the "I called that!" variety. Although I expected Hibiki to be the one with a torpedo.

Now, that I've posted the highlights of the episode (in the last picture count all four times Sugita "did it" during this episode), lemme share something else.
